The Opportunity

You’re an Associate Structural Engineer looking for a role where you can balance delivery, leadership, and growing client relationships. At Stantec, you’ll join a highly regarded Civil & Structural team in London, taking a central role in delivering complex building projects while contributing to the continued growth of the business. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with specialists across the wider organisation and gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of work that spans multiple sectors and challenges.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will take ownership of structural engineering delivery across a range of building projects, ensuring technical quality, programme alignment, and commercial performance. You’ll guide design solutions from early concept through to construction, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver coordinated, efficient outcomes.

Alongside delivery, you’ll manage project performance—overseeing resources, maintaining programme and budget control, and ensuring outputs meet both client expectations and internal standards. You’ll also begin to take on a more visible role in client engagement, supporting relationship management and contributing to business development activity, including bids and proposals.

This role sits at the point where technical leadership and business involvement meet, giving you the platform to expand your influence across both project delivery and future work generation.

YOUR IMPACT

You’ll contribute to projects that support the development of resilient, sustainable buildings across the UK. Your work will influence how structures are designed and delivered in response to environmental, regulatory, and performance challenges, helping clients navigate increasingly complex requirements.

Internally, your impact will extend to team development—supporting engineers, strengthening delivery capability, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment. As your role evolves, you’ll play a part in shaping both project outcomes and the continued growth of the team.

  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with IStructE or ICE, or working toward chartership
  • Experience supporting or leading engineers, with an interest in team development
